Vocal Booth

Sometimes it's cheaper... Sometimes it's better... Sometimes it's the only way to get what you actually need.

Vocal Booth

Hey guys, long time no talk....had to drop off the grid for a while and make some personal strides.

So I want to build a vocal booth come fall, and wondered if anyone here has done that before? A couple things:

- the booth will be permanent (not moved)
- it's only for myself
- I have a 7x7x7 space to work with, is that big enough? Probably could spare another foot on the length
- I planned to use two of the pre existing walls

I can't believe I remembered this URL... http://massivemastering.com/special/SmallVocalBooth.pdf

Long story short, if you can stretch that to 7x8x9 (or 8x7x9 or 9x7x8, etc.) and pull some rockwool or heave fiberglass from somewhere....

Hi Massive,

I just wanted to thank you for posting this! It's much appreciated.

I sold off 99% of my home studio about 2yrs ago, to throw everything in the pot for a house....so I'm rebuilding slowly, but better than ever, now that I have a dedicated space. No rest for the weary? wicked? maybe a little of both.

Thanks again.
