Cheap microphone help for a Newb

Postby treadteam » September 19th, 2017, 12:31 pm

Hi, first post on the forum so go easy for me. I'm looking for help in the budget mic space. I have looked at a few reviews, I think I'll probably get a shure, but is the SM48 good enough? I read a review: http://subreel.com/shure-sm48-review/ and it is favorable, but is it worth the extra for another model? I really only want to spend $50ish.

Also, is USB an option or are they just a case of avoid at all costs?

Thanks

I'd submit that it'd be worth it to get the SM58 -- That said -- Have you taken into consideration the preamp & interface?
